Adrialocity: Pre-party Blues

Some of you may know, Arieanna’s 1st birthday’s coming soon, right now I’m frantically surfing the web searching for ideas on what to do. I’ve never plan anything for any1 b4, maybe an outing or 2 but party? usually others do it for me… ya I know I’m pampered, bite me :P so I’m having a serious brain block on what to do for her, in the beginning I thought it’ll just be a simple, cake, presents & maybe a 10 people gathering, then Sarah mentioned that 1st birthday ’s usually big, like 2nd to wedding big, shortly Russ burst my bubbles by confirming that… though he said it’ll probably just be 20 – 30 but anything over 10 is big for me lol. So far I thought of the theme, yup is pooh, but this time, is baby pooh, or mostly, I create an invitation to send out but somehow I keep finding myself dragging it… right now my only excuse is to wait for Russ to get the location but I should probably get it ready so I can send it out as soon as the reservation’s confirmed. I got to think about food too, already set it as bbq, but how much food? Then $$ issue (when wasn’t it an issue? I wonder), is it gona be enough (when has it ever been enough? I wonder) to pull it off, then its entertainment, my biggest headache, Russ say no piñata, seen too much accidents on AFV to know better. Maybe not this yr, since she can’t really swing anything anyway, but couple yrs down the road, I’m pretty sure she’ll ask for 1 and I’ll have to buy Russ a cup on top of whatever presents I’m gona get her lol. HEADACHE! HEADACHE! MIGRAINE! Oh well, I hope I come up with something when its time, I’m still wondering y such a big party for a little person who’s not gona remember anything anyway lol.

Next, remember the neighbor I was bitching about awhile back, well right now she’s pretty quiet (calm b4 the storm?) but I can’t help but feel that she’s stalking us, I really hope I’m just over sensitive but 99.9% of the time when Sarah leaves the house or Russ take Arieanna out for their usual walk, she’ll leave her apartment too, shortly after I went back indoor & close the door behind me, I’ll hear her upstairs, open – close door & down the stairs, sometimes it’ll take awhile b4 she comes back but sometimes, she’ll walk in aft a couple of minutes, couple day ago, we even saw her in the Walmart we frequent, some will say ‘it’s a public area, you’re not the only 1 going to that Walmart, you know? Conceded.‘ True but we’ve been frequenting there for years & we only bump into her now? coincidence, I hope, but still… she’s starting to bug me *shutter* Anyhoo, we’re still carry on with our daily life but I’m keeping a close watch on her, I’m obsess, I know, been like that since Arieanna’s born but I think I’ll rather be paranoia then be sorry.

This is what you’re really waiting for, Arieanna’s milestones. Well, she’s standing up on her own now, attempting to walk but doesn’t seems like she has enough confident yet but she’s trying, there are times I caught her taking a step or 2 b4 deciding to flop down. I’m in such a dilemma right now, I can’t wait to see her walk but then again I was unconsciously hoping that she don’t start walking anytime soon yet, she’s already climbing up the couch with ease & getting into stuffs she’s not suppose to, I can’t imagine how my life’s gona be like when she starts walking, then I’ll really have to stop my knitting & be her shadow 24/7. She’s growing really fast too, she’s almost at my hip now, 29” & 25lb was the last doc’s measurement, what happened to the 20” almost 9lb baby I gave birth to?! 11 months already, where did the time go? I really miss the little blob I brought home from the hospital. 2 weeks ago I went to a surprise party for Russ’s friend, she’s due in 3 weeks & that day was her last day of work b4 maternity. She has such a cute belly, I can’t stop touching it. She got me missing being pregnant! Mine was such a breeze till the last couple week. No I’m not getting there yet, gona wait till Arieanna’s a little older, when she doesn’t need so much attention anymore… or maybe when she goes to collage… lol.
