Happy Halloween

Yes that day has finally came & went, weeks of preparation & it just zipped by like that… initially planned to go trick or treating door to door but then group we were suppose to tag with were doing it at 1 pm, Arieanna’s nap time was 12nn to 2 pm, that makes it too late to keep her up till & too early to wake up to so that’s bombed. So we decided to just walk the mall & maybe t.o.t store to store, when we got there… well the adults (that’s Russ & me) are too shy to do it & the lil 1… let’s just say she has no idea what the hell was going on, to her the costume is just another clothing in the closet that she gets to wear lol. so all we did was window shop, the bag was barely used… *sob sob* all that work… maybe better luck next yr, when she’ll probly know what Halloween’s all about & excited to go t.o.t, not that she’ll get to eat the candies cause she not allowed to have any till she’s at least 5 anyway, they’ll be known as the adult food to her mwahahahhaha…

This is the candy bag I’ve been talking about on FB, I’d say its pretty easy to knit up since its basically stockinette all the way, the skull was evolved from the pirate hat that came with the costume, my aim was make it pirate theme but with a cute girlie twist to it, I love the way it was drawn out but not so happy with it when its knitted up, Russ said the ribbon on the head looks like a bleeding crack on the skull & I’m not too happy with the way the wink line that lead to the heart looks… but again, time restrain so gota let it go. The only thing that took me the longest time would be to think up of the kinda frills I want on the bag, all the time I was trying to come up with so fancy, weird & hard way to knit up the frills to compliment the costume but in the end I settled with laced picot edging which I actually really like. Rule of life for knitting #187, you don’t have to always have to get your fingers, needles & yarns all tangled up to get the best results, simplicity is the best option. BTW the bag reads Pirate Babe :D.

I also made a pair of hair clips that matches, as you can see, its made with 3 different ribbons of different width, not much to say about it other than I’m pretty happy with it, it’ll probly be better & less bumpy if the glue from the glue gun doesn’t dry so quickly.

I tried to get lotsa pictures but my top model aint co-operating, been acting up for a couple of days so these are the best I can get. Enjoy!

Yes, they’ve already set up for xmas…

After the mall, we went to Wei’s for dinner, be4 we left the mall, we checked her diaper & she was dry so we figured we could wait til we get to Wei’s b4 we decide if she need to change, however when we got there, she soaked her dress & carseat but we didn’t realize it til we’re in the restaurant so back out we go to the car to change her (I forgot that Wei’s doesn’t have baby changing station), stupid me didn’t bring an extra change of clothes, we’re not going back home to change her & then come back out to Wei’s again but we also don’t want her to walk around with just a black turtleneck that was under the pirate dress & diaper, that’s like running around in your undies… no no no… as painful as it may be, I cut the petticoat from the pirate dress that I took all night to sew onto, wipe it dry & voila, a new outfit.

These were taken aft we got home from Wei’s, that’s how she looks like with the turtleneck & petticoat, adorable! hehe.

I guess this is the stage in her life where she'll try on all my shoes & clothes & whatever she can get her hands on? lol
